But you know what they say about me
That girl is a problem
I decided to take a break from story writing and check in on my favorite family at the moment.
And of course, I find Dmitri trying to teach Anya how to talk…she’s giving him that ‘lol dad nice try’ look.
Tristan: You look tired. Do you want me to give you a ride home?
Dalia: Sure, if it isn’t a bother. I guess it’s time to face the music.
Tristan: I don’t think old Archie will be mad. He can do his little science experiments on his own.
Dalia: Yeah, he can, it’s just ‘our’ thing, you know? It’s like father-daughter bonding time.
Tristan: Ah, I get it. Well, don’t worry about it. I’m sure he’ll understand. Come here, you look like you need hug.
Tristan: Even when I hug you, something doesn’t feel right…
Dalia: What?! I’m being serious! I’m not doing anything out of the ordinary! I just get caught up in my own thoughts and lose track of time!
Tristan: Hey, chill out. I’m not here to judge you. I just wish I could get into that head of yours sometimes to see what it is you’re thinking.
Dalia: Oh … it’s just random stuff, nothing important.
Tristan: Heh, well then I guess I shouldn’t worry. As long as you’re not off joining a cult or doing black magic, we should be okay, right?
Dalia: Right! Exactly! No black magic hijinks here!…
Dalia: Okay, I get it! Sheesh! You’re almost as bad as Archimedes.
Tristan: Funny you should mention him. He came by about an hour ago and picked up the stuff you guys needed.
Dalia: He did? Oh man, he’s probably so angry…
Tristan: Eh, he didn’t seem all that surprised that you had forgotten. I guess he’s used to it by now. However, I still wonder what it is you’re doing that makes you forget the stuff you need to do with him.
Dalia: I’m not doing anything! I just get lost in my daydreaming, that’s all.
Dalia: Trist! I’m here! I know I’m late but I’m here!
Tristan: Ah, look what the cat dragged in! Let me guess, you’re late because you got chased down by zombies. No wait, maybe it was a band of witches this time.
Dalia: Not funny! Look, I know I’m late, okay? At least I made it.
Tristan: You are aware that some of us have lives, right? We all can’t stand around waiting for you to grace us with your presence.
